What should I expect at my first visit?

Your first visit is all about understanding your dental health and concerns.

Typically, it includes:

  • A short discussion about your medical and dental history

  • A thorough examination of your teeth and gums

  • X-rays if needed to check areas not visible to the eye

  • A clear explanation of any findings and treatment options

Our dentists will never rush you into a decision. You’ll have time to ask questions and understand the plan before starting any treatment.

Do you treat children and elderly patients?

Yes, we see patients of all ages – from young children to seniors.

For children, we focus on gentle, positive experiences so they feel safe coming to the dentist.

For elderly patients, we pay special attention to existing medical conditions and medications to keep treatment safe and comfortable.

If you have specific concerns (e.g. very anxious child, mobility issues), please let us know when booking the appointment so we can make the necessary preparations.

What dental services do you offer?

We provide a range of general and advanced dental services, including:

  • Routine check-ups and cleanings

  • Fillings and restorations

  • Root canal treatment

  • Extractions (including wisdom teeth where appropriate)

  • Crowns, bridges and dentures

  • Implants, Invisalign and braces

  • Children’s dentistry

Is dental treatment painful?

We aim to keep you as comfortable as possible.

We use:

  • Local anesthesia to numb the area when needed

  • Gentle techniques and modern equipment

  • Clear communication so you know what to expect

If you feel anxious about treatment, tell us before we start – we can slow down, explain each step and give you breaks whenever you need.

I’m very nervous about the dentist. Can you help?

Absolutely. Many of our patients start out feeling the same way.

We help by:

  • Taking time to talk through your fears

  • Explaining the process of the treatment

  • Working at your pace and checking in frequently

  • Using numbing gels and local anesthetic where appropriate

If you’ve had a bad experience in the past, let us know. We’ll work with you to rebuild trust and make each visit a bit easier than the last.

How often should I come for a dental check-up?

For most people, we recommend a check-up and cleaning every 6 months.

However, some patients may need more frequent visits (e.g. history of gum disease, multiple ongoing treatments). Our dentist will advise you on the best schedule for your situation.

Regular check-ups help us catch problems early, when they’re simpler and more affordable to treat.

Do you provide clear aligners / braces / dental implants?

Yes we do. We also provide retainers and mouth guards.

If you’re interested in straightening your teeth or replacing missing teeth, the first step is a consultation. During this visit, we will:

Examine your teeth and bite

Discuss your goals

Explain suitable options, timelines, and estimated fees

How much do treatments cost?

Treatment fees depend on the type and complexity of the procedure.

Before starting any treatment, we will:

  • Explain your options

  • Provide a clear fee estimate

  • Answer any questions you may have

If you have a specific treatment in mind (e.g. scaling & polishing, wisdom tooth removal, clear aligners), contact us to schedule a consultation appointment for an assessment.

What payment methods do you accept?

We  accept:

  • Cash

  • NETS / PayNow

  • Major credit / debit cards - Visa, Mastercard and Amex

For larger treatment plans, you can discuss payment arrangements with our dentists to help make treatment more manageable.

Do you accept insurance or corporate dental plans?

We work with Allianz insurance, Dontia Alliance and Inovacare corporate plans. Simply Dental also accepts cashless benefits for some insurance plans. Contact us directly with your insurance details to check.

Because coverage can differ widely, we recommend:

Sharing your insurance details with our team before or during your visit

Checking with your insurer on your dental entitlements and limits
